Free ADHD Information talks
Schools and Parents

ADHD, or Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, is primarily characterised by a deficit in executive function, which is related to self-control. Experts identify seven core executive functions that are crucial for daily living: self-awareness, inhibition, verbal working memory, non-verbal working memory, planning and organization, emotional regulation, and self-motivation. These functions need to work together effectively for an individual to lead a "normal" life. By identifying which of these functions is the weakest, individuals with ADHD can develop strategies to manage their symptoms and enhance their daily functioning.

ADHD is increasingly becoming one of the biggest challenges facing teachers and parents, both at school and at home. While there are various resources available for information on ADHD in children, we believe we offer the most comprehensive discussions, drawing from both knowledge and personal experience with neurodivergence.

Because ADHD presents differently in each individual, a one-size-fits-all approach is not effective. Collaboration between parents and teachers for each unique child can significantly reduce behavioural challenges.

These talks provide insight into the minds of neurodivergent children and the parents who may also have ADHD. They address how behaviour can change rapidly, often leaving adults feeling powerless and struggling to understand the reasons behind a child's actions. Each talk is 90 minutes long and will include evidenced based information on ADHD, what is happening in the brain, hereditary effect, what affect this has on children and shine a light on why.
